Martí Sawe (Barcelona 1986) has forged a prolific and persistent career in the world of graffiti since 2001. His name has become a reference in this subculture, leaving its mark in numerous exhibitions and on walls around the world. After graduating from the illustration course at La Massana in 2006, he worked in that field until 2014, when he co-founded the Manson audiovisual studio, dedicating himself entirely to animation. However, in 2018, he decides to focus on his artistic career after his first solo exhibition in New York. Mainly focussing on painting, his work is a constant tension between control and the lack of control. Virtuous details coexist with scribbles, flat colors with accidental textures, figuration with disfigurement. This dichotomy leads to confusing but sincere images that reflect his context and professional path. His proposal, rich in pictorial languages, color, rhythm and open messages, converges in a visual noise resulting from the globalization and information overload of our times.

Su nombre se ha convertido en un referente en esta subcultura, dejando huella en numerosas exposiciones y murales alrededor del mundo. Tras graduarse en el curso de ilustración de la Massana en 2006, trabajó en ese campo hasta 2014, cuando co-fundó el estudio audiovisual Manson, dedicándose por completo a la animación. Sin embargo, en 2018, decide centrarse en su carrera artística después de exponer individualmente en New York. Principalmente enfocado en la pintura, sus obras son una pelea constante entre el control y el descontrol. Detalles virtuosos conviven con garabatos, colores planos con texturas accidentales, figuración con desfiguración. Esta dicotomía desemboca en imágenes confusas pero sinceras que reflejan su contexto y trayectoria profesional. Su propuesta rica en lenguajes pictóricos, color, ritmo y mensajes abiertos, confluye en un ruido visual fruto de la globalización y sobrecarga de información de nuestros tiempos.
