RESIDENCIA ETIENNE CRISTOFFANINI - ENERO/ABRIL23
Este primer bloque de residencias B-Murals 2023 se extende del 16 de enero hasta el 15 de abril. Durante estos 3 meses, contaremos con la presencia de los artistas Etienne Cristoffanini y Sagoco para desarrollar sus respectivas investigaciones artísticas .
Etienne Cristoffanini es artista muralista y tatuador chileno que combina el naturalismo con la abstracción para formar composiciones que se incorporan al ruido callejero.
This first block of B-Murals 2023 residencies runs from January 16 to April 15. During these 3 months, we will host artists Etienne Cristoffanini and Sagoco in our studio to develop their respective artistic research.
Etienne Cristoffanini is a Chilean muralist and tattoo artist who combines naturalism with abstraction to form compositions, that he incorporates into a busy aesthetic, characteristic of graffiti in the street.
Propone trabajar el concepto de memoria a través de un proceso de scoutting que le permite recoger las principales expresiones gráficas, lineas estéticas, pictóricas y textuales de las calles de Barcelona y de la Nau Bostik. Todo este material grafico, reinterpretado a través de la mirada del artista e incorporado a su obra, permite crear un semejante archivo de memoria estética, política e identitaria.
He works on the concept of memory through a process of scouting that allows him to collect the main graphic expressions, aesthetic, pictorial and textual lines of the streets of Barcelona and the Nau Bostik. All this graphic material, reinterpreted through the artist's gaze and incorporated into his work, allows him to create an archive of aesthetic, political and identity memory.
“Así como toda urbe cosmopolita, Barcelona tiene un territorio en disputa entre la población residente, la flotante y El Progreso.
La propuesta se refiere a trabajar con el concepto de memoria. La memoria como conjunto de temporalidad y espacio descrito por los relatos, imágenes o marcas que podamos ver entre sus paisajes públicos, íntimos o privados.
Con esta idea fuerza desarrollaremos 3 ejes que servirán de guía para la construcción de la situación en la imagen, estos son de carácter estético, político e identitario."

We waim to work with the concept of memory. Memory as a set of temporality and space described by the stories, images or marks that we can see among its public, intimate or private landscapes.
With this driving idea we will develop 3 axes that will serve as a guide for the construction of the situation in the image: these are of aesthetic, political and identity character."

Inaugurará la muestra resultado de más de 2 meses de investigación en el estudio junto con Sagoco el Viernes 31 de Marzo.

La RESIDENCIA B-MURALS es un espacio de creación e investigación artística vinculado con el espacio urbano, y compartido por dos artistas en un periodo uniformizado de 3 meses.
Sus objetivos son:
El apoyo y el soporte a la creación, exploración e investigación artística por artistas urbanos y otros que dialogan con el espacio público.
El fomento de conexiones y la creación de puentes entre artistas internacionales y la comunidad artística catalana.
Crear un espacio apto para la creacion de estudio y fomentar un contexto expositivo vinculado a la intervención pública en la ciudad de Barcelona.
The B-MURALS RESIDENCE is a space for artistic creation and research linked to the urban space and shared by two artists in a standardized period of 3 months.
Its objectives are:
The support and backing of artistic creation, exploration and research by urban artists and others who dialogue with public space.
The promotion of connections and the creation of bridges between international artists and the Catalan artistic community.
The creation of a space suitable for studio creation and to foster an exhibition context linked to public intervention in the city of Barcelona.
